Environment: flowers for bees
Bees, which have existed on Earth for more than 50 million years, are more endangered than they have ever been, with mortality rates having multiplied sixfold in the space of 15 years. To raise awareness of this issue among children and adults, the Observatoire Français d’Apidologie (OFA, French Apiology Observatory) organised a series of discussions in Princess Antoinette Park, during which OFA representatives gave a presentation on the causes of bee mortality. The discussions with session leaders, which took the format of question-and-answer sessions, gave attendees already familiar with the danger the chance to further their knowledge. Stands highlighting the Government’s Energy Transition campaign were set up close to the workshop.
