Latest news: the Cap d'Ail stadium is now known as the Didier Deschamps Stadium
The Cap d'Ail stadium was officially renamed as the "Stade Didier Deschamps" (Didier Deschamps Stadium) in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II and Xavier Beck, the Mayor of Cap d'Ail. At this ceremony, the young players from US Cap d'Ail were able to meet one of the men who thrilled us during the summer, Didier Deschamps. The coach of the French team agreed to give his name to the Cap d'Ail stadium. This naming ceremony was therefore an opportunity to pay tribute to a man who made history as one of the three celebrities in the world to have won the World Cup as both a player and a coach.
