Grisha Burkhin exhibits at Marlborough Gallery
Russian artist Grisha Burkhin is once again exhibiting his work at the Marlborough Gallery. The sculptor, who won the Kandinsky Prize in 2012 and previously exhibited in the same gallery around 10 years ago, is presenting two projects under the title “H Hour”. He chats about his influences and, in particular, the iconography of the post-World War II Russian civil defence posters and the statues representing the “Russian People” which were so popular in Russia during that same period. The exhibition runs until 13 February 2015.
