Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra: "Forbidden Love", featuring Tchaikovsky, Fujikura and Prokofiev

The evening of Friday 5 October was a special one for the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Kazuki Yamada, as it presented to the public a world premiere by contemporary composer Dai Fujikura in the Rainier III Auditorium. Impulse, a concerto for piano, was performed by talented Japanese pianist Yu Kosuge. The Japanese composer plunged the audience into a world inspired by nature, where all of the instruments came together in harmony. The programme for the evening, with its theme of "Forbidden Love", also included extracts from Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet and works by Prokofiev.
