Tradition: Monaco celebrates the Epiphany
The Feast of the Epiphany is commemorated on the second Sunday after Christmas. It marks the arrival of the Magi, who came from the East to adore the Child Jesus in Bethlehem, whose birth was shown to them by a star. Every year, the Feast of the Epiphany is celebrated with a traditional "Galette des Rois" (Three Kings' Cake). To mark this event, a religious ceremony was held in Monaco on Sunday 6 January 2019, in the presence of Father Jean-Christophe Genson.
