YCM: the blockchain for the benefit of marine archaeology
A lecture on the use of the blockchain for the benefit of marine archaeology was given at the Yacht Club of Monaco (YCM). The blockchain is technology for storing and transmitting information. It is transparent and secure, and operates without a central control body. It is an exceptional database that is revolutionising certain sectors of the economy, as well as the world of marine archaeology. PO8 was the first company in the Bahamas to use blockchain technology to recover and preserve underwater antiquities and wrecks.
