Monaco, 21 April 2015 – An exhibition of photographs by the Agreement on the Conservation of Cetaceans of the Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea and Contiguous Atlantic Area (ACCOBAMS) and its partners, produced in collaboration with the Permanent Delegation to International Organisations of a Scientific and Environmental Nature and the Department of International Relations, was officially opened on Tuesday 21 April at the Galerie des Pêcheurs, in the presence of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince.

These magnificent photographs capture special moments in the lives of whales, killer whales and dolphins and give visibility to the measures taken by ACCOBAMS to conserve cetaceans in the nations which border the seas and ocean.

The exhibition also highlights the Principality of Monaco’s commitment, through constructive cooperation involving all stakeholders to preserve biodiversity in our Mediterranean, and helps to raise public awareness of the threats to cetacean populations posed by human activities.

“Cetacean Conservation in Monaco” – Galerie des Pêcheurs until 8 June 2015
