The fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE) was officially opened by President Xi Jinping on 5 November with a virtual ceremony.
The exhibition is playing host to 145 countries, regions and international organisations with the aim of developing opportunities for increased cooperation with China in the face of global growth challenges.
Under the aegis of Monaco’s Embassy in China, several businesses from the Principality are taking part in this major international trade fair through the Monaco Pavilion, which features a unique twist: the national pavilion hosting the companies until 10 November is operating entirely virtually.
This ‘remote’ exhibition format is a first for the Principality, and was made possible thanks to the joint work of the Monaco Economic Board and the Digital Transition and Attractiveness Office.
